Server Room Raised Floor Procurement for Nigeria Projects

A server room raised floor order should follow the equipment and service layout, not just the room’s square metres. For a Nigeria project, the procurement team needs to know what the floor supports, what must remain accessible below it and how the material will reach the installation area.

Define the room and equipment requirements

Provide a dimensioned plan showing racks, cabinets, access aisles and service routes. Record the final floor height, equipment support locations and any movement route for installation or replacement. Ask the project engineer to define the loading criteria used to review supplier proposals.

Confirm whether cooling uses the floor void. If it does, the mechanical designer should specify airflow panels and leakage details. If it does not, airflow panels should not be included solely because the space is called a server room.

Specify a matched system

The quotation should identify the panel, finish, supports and any stringers required by the selected design. Include perimeter supports, penetration details, floor boxes, grommets, ramps and lifting tools where shown on the drawings.

Steel anti-static raised floor can be reviewed as a technical-room option, but the actual assembly must meet the project specification. Ask for model-specific documentation rather than a broad claim that one panel suits every equipment room.

Check electrical and maintenance requirements

Where static control is required, obtain the finish documentation and grounding instructions. The responsible specialist should define acceptance testing. Also review how panels will be lifted around cable routes and how replacements will be identified after handover.

Agree spare quantities based on the layout and maintenance plan. Do not assume that a panel with the same nominal size from another source will fit the installed system.

Coordinate shipment and receipt

Confirm the Nigeria delivery location, shipping scope and the party responsible for local receiving arrangements. Request package dimensions and weights so unloading and internal access can be planned. Have the importer confirm the documents required for the actual shipment.

Agree protected storage conditions and the sequence for releasing material to site. Check labels, quantities and visible condition against the packing list at receipt. Keep records of discrepancies before packages are distributed across work areas.

Send a complete inquiry

Provide SunTree Floor with the room plan, area, finished height, equipment criteria, finish and destination, together with the required date on site. Review the server room application and request a configured quotation. Clearly identify which installation and delivery services are required and which will be arranged locally.
